For the answers to full recovery

Quote from Cleanse To Heal

What’s worse than knowing about the health threats in our world is suffering and not knowing why. It’s exhausting trying to discover what works and what doesn’t. It’s exhausting trying to get results and not seeing them — or getting some results and then losing them. It’s exhausting spending exorbitant amounts of money on hope after hope. It can break you down and bewilder you, even if you’re on the right track, because there is always another competing claim out there to cast doubt on what you’re doing. The chronic fatigue you’re trying to alleviate gets compounded by the fatigue of trying to find answers.

When reading MM’s books, it feels as if he’s talking straight at me. The quote above resonates so much of my life’s circumstances. Spent more than 15 exhausting years looking for an answer. Check. Spent exorbitant amounts of money on therapies, foods and supplements. Check. Feeling tired of feeling tired. Check.

Eat a Balanced Diet gives a taster of the things I tried. The agony I went through is a story for another day. One of the greatest lesson that I learned is that the body of misinformation and half-truths in the wild is gargantuan! The authors of these diets worked with limited resources and didn’t mean any harm, I can be certain. However as a sufferer of chronic conditions, it is incredibly frustrating to encounter failure after failure, being led on a wild goose chase.

While suffering and desperation took me here, I have no regrets. Perhaps it’s because it feels like I’ve found the light at the end of the tunnel. Nonetheless, the long journey has endowed me with a far greater perspective on health and healing than possibly imaginable.
